Summary: John and Helena decide to grab some afternoon delight.
Notes: this idea came to me when I was working on my monster story, “When…”. A song found it’s way into my head… and sadly, it worked it’s way out and into this story. Basically… it’s Space: 1999 the musical!! <G>
John slipped his arm about
“Right, John.” The
younger man nodded and then smiled, watching the two slowly move out of
“Most definitely.” John agreed, suddenly stepping before her and reaching for her hands. He began to walk backwards slowly as he began to sing. “Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight. Gonna grab some afternoon delight. My motto’s always been when it’s right, it’s right. Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night. When everything’s a little clearer in the light of day and you know the night is always gonna to be here anyway.”
“Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight.” They sang together, silly grins on their faces. “Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight!!”
“Started out this morning feeling so polite. I always thought a fish could not be caught who wouldn’t bite.” John continued as he led her into their quarters. “But you’ve got some bait a waitin’ and I think I might try nibbling on a little afternoon delight.”
“Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight.” They sang together, the silly grins still on their faces. “Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight!!”
John twirled her around the floor.
“Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.” They grinned as they sang to each other. “We could make a lot of lovin’ ‘fore the sun goes down.”
John slid his hands up to her shoulders as she slipped hers about his waist, still singing to each other. “Thinking of you’s working up my appetite. Looking forward to a little afternoon delight. Rubbin sticks and stones together makes the sparks ignite and the thought of rubbin you is getting so exciting.”
“Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight!!”
John and Helena smiled at each other and then burst into laughter as they tumbled onto their bed, holding tight to each other. And once their laughter died down…
…they proceeded to make a little afternoon delight!!
